HELLO,
We are so excited you've chosen to learn more about your snoring and sleep apnea condition. I’d like to take a moment to explain exactly what sleep apnea is.

Apnea, which literally means ‘without breath’, occurs when breathing stops repeatedly during sleep, sometimes hundreds of times during the night and often for a minute or longer per episode, requiring the brain to briefly trigger arousal in order for breathing to resume, and causing extremely fragmented and poor quality sleep.

Many of our patients experience life changing results by treating their sleep disorder breathing problems. They begin awakening much more refreshed, have less day time sleepiness and fatigue, increased energy and significantly reduce the chances of developing cardiovascular disease, headaches depression, and stroke. Treating snoring and sleep apnea reduces the incidence of motor vehicle accidents and improves social relationships. Your relationship with your sleeping partner will certainly be improved by treating your snoring problem.

Many of our patients have also found oral appliance therapy a more successful alternative to the continuous positive airway pressure mask (CPAP).
